I had time to go into this workshop where some snotty young man was painting masks (and not very well)

This is what I had in mind, and they were of much better quality

And these followed me home. I was congratulated on my choice (driven by two things, quality of carving and finish) and then there was the types. I had seen these two faces more than any others, on plates and mugs etc., and thought them therefore popular and particularly well liked.

This was a brand new souvenir shopping mall that sold quality items, but they were a little more pricey. They finally rushed me out to catch the bus, which I did with just minutes to spare. I did buy two small masks there, though, and gave some of my food supplies to the kids.

I think that normally the bus comes this far, and one can get transportation from here to the crater lake.

In spite of what you may have heard, people, while live long lives in the Andes, they do die here as well
